Where can I find a cave troll? ›

The Cave Troll is a boss found in the Goblin Cave map. His attacks consist of melee attacks at various heights, shouts to slow the player, and a slam with his mace on the floor, dealing massive area of effect damage.

There's a cave about about halfway and north of the road westward from Harviken, with both a rabid rock troll and an ice troll inside. The cave entrance is just slightly northwest from the third pillar with a torch on the path.

The best way to defeat a troll in Hogwarts Legacy is to keep your distance, defending against boulders with Protego spells. You can use a combination of control spells to slow the troll down do damage and eventually kill it.
