Rewards For Completion
Dragon's End is the fourth map in Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons. There are a lot of different achievements that you can complete while exploring here, including Respects Paid. For this achievement, you will need to travel to nine different shrines in Dragon's End and kneel.

In this guide, we are going to go over the location of each shrine where you will kneel at. Additionally, we are going to go over the rewards upon completion. You will not have to visit these shrines in any particular order, so let's take a look at the first shrine location on the achievement list.
Shrine 1
- Point of Interest: Shrine of the Serpent
The first shrine is located east of the Jade Quarry Waypoint, To get here, follow the path east in the Archipelagos Rim. At the top of the hill, you will find the Shrine of the Serpent.
To kneel, just type '/kneel' and you will go into a kneeling pose.
Shrine 2
- Point of Interest: Shrine of Hanuku
From the Shrine of the Serpent, continue to head east and then curve right, so you are facing south. You can follow along this path, taking you through an encampment, until you reach the second shrine.
If you are not starting from the first shrine, you can get here by heading east from the Jade Quarry Waypoint as well.
Shrine 3
- Point of Interest: Chantry of the Crab
The Chantry of the Crab isn't too close to any Waypoint on the map. If you are starting from the second shrine location, you can continue to head south.
If this isn't the case, you will most likely have to start at the Waypoints at the top or bottom of the map and make your way to the northern part of Seafarer's Enclave. This shrine has been ruined, so you will need to kneel amidst a pile of rubble.
Shrine 4
- Point of Interest: Temple of the Turtle
The Temple of the Turtle can be found to the east after crossing the large bridge that goes over the water, as shown in the image above. This shrine will be built into the side of a rock and may have several NPCs standing around it.
Shrine 5
- Point of Interest: Shrine of Hanuku
This location is very close to the Shrine of Hanuku, which you visited earlier.
Rather than kneeling directly at the shrine, you will need to turn around and head slightly southwest. Here, you should see a historic plaque, along with two small shrines. You can kneel at either of these shrines to receive credit for this step in the achievement.
Shrine 6
- Point of Interest: Speakers Encampment
Once again, we have another shrine in Reaver's Ridge. This can easily be accessed by heading north from the Shrine to Hanuku, or by simply heading east from the Jade Quarry Waypoint.
For this shrine, you are looking for a giant statue in an opening of the building at the Speakers Encampment.
Shrine 7
- Point of Interest: Guardian's Perch
Starting from the Jade Quarry Waypoint, head along the western rim of Dragon's End, making your way to the Western Vale.
This shrine is located at Guardian's Perch. When you make it here, you will see the Shrine Guardian sitting on a platform, with a little prayer area in front. All you need to do is kneel on the carpet.
Shrine 8
- Point of Interest: Emerald Bluff
Unlike many of the other shrines, this one does not have an associated Point of Interest. Instead, you are going to kneel at the shrine where you can start Strike Missions at.
From the Frozen Sea Waypoint, head to the Strike Mission symbol on the map, which looks like a blue swirl. Kneeling right at the symbol will give you credit for this portion of the achievement.
Shrine 9
- Point of Interest: Jade Wind's Respite
Lastly, we have the ninth shrine. This shrine will only be available after the Dragon's End meta event has been successfully completed.
Once the meta is over, head west from the Frozen Sea Waypoint, to the bridge shown in the image above. When you cross this bridge, you will see a jade teleporter that will bring you to the area with the shrine. Additionally, you can listen to several conversations between Aurene and Soo-Won here.
If you try to visit this area before the meta event, you will take continuous damage and eventually die.
Rewards For Completion
As a reward for visiting all nine shrines, you will only receive one achievement point. Although this isn't a lot, Respects Paid counts towards the Dragon's End Mastery achievement, which will reward you with the Water Dragon Cape.
That's all there is to know about Respects Paid! Overall, this achievement should be fairly simple to complete; you just need to complete the meta at least once.
